Please understand that due to the custom nature of the cakes, pricing for each is used as a starting point. Actual prices will be determined once a design has been finalized, and is based on size and amount of custom work involved.

An additional $300 service fee for each wedding within 30 miles of Bowie, MD. Service fee includes delivery, setup and, all vendor communication.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required for order $200 and up to secure services and reserve the date.  A non-refundable full payment is required for orders under $200 to reserve services and secure the date. Changes to your order must be made in advance of 7 days before your delivery date. Date changes are subject to availability. Payments on cancelled orders will be applied to future orders within six months from the original invoice date. Any cost difference due to changes, per customer requests, will be applied to the remaining balance, to be paid 7 days before delivery or pick up. Cakes will not be delivered without payment in full.

HOW ARE OUR CAKES PRICED? 

There are many factors that go into the cost of making sure your cake is perfectly priced. The differences between one of our cakes and one picked up at the local grocery store are the choices to customize your cake, and/or choose one that is recommended to suit your event.  Cakes from Candi’s Sweet Memories are one of a kind with the freshest ingredients and custom designed just for you.  Some of our smallest cakes can take 4-5 hours to complete, with larger cakes taking 10, 12, or 20 hours. Your cake will most likely have hand sculpted and/or hand painted details that can be made absolutely perfect before it leaves the kitchen.

WHY IS THE DEPOSIT NON-REFUNDABLE?

The non-refundable deposit is required to secure services and reserve the date. This is justified because of the time spent designing your cake, sourcing and ordering materials, and formulating quotes. All orders should be placed 2-4 weeks in advance. All orders placed last minute (a week or less) will incur a rush fee of $25 or more. When the order is placed and deposit paid, we block off time on our calendar and begin the process of constructing a beautiful one of a kind creation. Payments on cancelled orders will be applied to future orders within six months from the original invoice date.

HOW LONG IN ADVANCE SHOULD AN ORDER BE PLACED?

While we can sometimes accommodate last minute requests, we typically require at least 2 weeks advance notice; sometimes more during busy times.  Realistically, time is also needed  to source specialty items (such as molds, cutters, specialty ingredients, etc.) to complete any handmade decorations for the design of your cake.  Orders placed last minute will incur a rush fee.

DOES OUR CAKE NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED?

Most of our cakes do not need to be refrigerated once delivered or picked up as long as they are kept in a cool, dry spot out of direct sunlight. Cakes are climate sensitive and extreme temperatures or humidity can cause damage. We assume no liability and suggest paying a little more for delivery to make sure the cake is delivered in optimal condition. If you decide to refrigerate your cake, it should be taken out 1 to 2 hours (depending on size) before serving, for the best flavor and texture.
